In case you haven’t already heard, the AAA Annual Conference is back in person! I’m Virginia Ramachandran, AuD, PhD, president-elect of the American Academy of Audiology and I’m coming to you from St Louis, Missouri, where we have just had our first in-person meeting in two years.
It has been such a joy to see friends and colleagues in real life. The energy and excitement of being here together as an audiology community has been inspirational.
And, of course, we will all need that inspiration as we face the challenges and opportunities that the next year will undoubtedly bring.
Whether you were here in person or back home taking care of patients in the clinic, it’s important that we continue to keep focused on what we can achieve together even beyond this great meeting.
You can do your part to support our shared goals by renewing your Academy membership, volunteering, contributing to Academy activities, and engaging in any or all of the benefits that the Academy has to offer.
And very importantly, mark your calendar to celebrate with your colleagues at AAA 2023 +HearTECH Expo, April 19-22, in Seattle, Washington.
It is our goal that the 2023 conference will provide you with tools, activities, and opportunities to spur the development of stronger relationships with more of our health-care partners. And, of course, the conference is always an excellent time to further partner with our industry colleagues and to enjoy being together.
I can’t wait to see you there!
